Dynamic Vertical Balancing Machine Operation
Operation of Vertical Balancing Machines - Manual
The balance on the dynamic vertical balancing machine, the operator places the part (i.e. flywheel, flexplate, etc.) in the dynamic balancing machine. The machine spins the rotor and displays the amount of correction required to balance the rotor. The balancing instrumentation will provide a digital readout showing the operator how much material to remove (or add depending on the correction type) and at what angle. The operator does not have to calculate or vector this amount. Based on the specifications for each stored part number the balancer will display the amount to remove (or add) for the part.Operation of Vertical Balancing Machines - Automatic
For a semi-automatic or fully-automatic dynamic balancing machine, the operator keys in (or selects) the part number, and places the part in the balancer. The operator closes the guard door which automatically starts the cycle. In seconds, the dynamic balancer determines the amount of unbalance and the angle for the unbalance correction. A vacuum which is actuated with the drill, punch (or other correction type), combined with the collection receptacal, keeps the machine clean. The dynamic balancing machine respins to double check the correction, displays the part status (for example “good part” or a flashing light) to alert the operator to process to the next part. These machines are made to order to fit your business culture and operational processes. Multi-axis, fully-articulating robot load (see Balancing Machine Robotics) and unload, data collection, poke yoke, run-out gaging, gauging, and other tests, are all available features to meet your vibration removal requirements.
